Four Panthers finish first in league tourney

CLAY CENTER — The Concordia Junior High School wrestling team had Christian Belden, Wade Kindel, Coby Tyler and Daniel Vines place first in the North Central Kansas League Tournament on Saturday.
Belden placed first in the 75-pound class by posting two wins.
Kindel went 2-0 in placing first in the 85-pound class.
Tyler placed first in the 90-pound class with a 2-0 record. He finished the season undefeated and was not scored on.
Vines won both of his matches to capture first in the 120-pound class.
Concordia finished fifth as a team in the tournament.
Cody Trost was 2-1 and finished second in the 95-pound class for Concordia.
Connor Novack placed second in the 80-pound class for the Panthers.
Gunnar Hale, 265 pounds, went 2-1 to place third.
Dustin Sterrett placed fourth in the 127-pound class. He went 2-2.
Chayton Alquist-Pennell, 148 pounds, was 1-2 and placed fourth.
