Four T-Birds receive honors

The Cloud County Community College men's and women's basketball teams had two players each receive All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference East Division postseason honors.
 Earning  All-KJCCC East Division honorable for the men are sophomores Jay Lewis and Iyen Enaruna.
The Cloud County women had sophomore Haven Hamilton and freshman LaKya Leslie  garner honorable mention All-KJCCC East Division in voting that was conducted among all KJCCC Division I basketball coaches.
Lewis would be named the KJCCC Player of the Week on November 26th, following a 41-point outing against nationally-ranked Des Moines Area Community College, and lead the Jayhawk Conference in the regular-season by averaging 18.3 points per game.
Appearing in 27 games and making 24 starts for the T-Birds, Lewis scored 495 points this past year and averaged 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while scoring 20 or more points on 13 different occasions.
Enaruna would be Cloud County's only player this past year to make a start in all 31 games played by the T-Birds as the Amsterdam, Netherlands, native would average 26.5 minutes per game and shoot 52.8 percent from the field. Scoring 12.2 points per game to go along with 8.2 rebounds per contest, Enaruna would record nine-double-doubles and finish 19th on the all-time rebounding charts at Cloud County with 440 career rebounds.
Hamilton would join the T-Birds at the conclusion of volleyball season and start 26 of the final 27 games for Cloud County while averaging 9.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Netting a career-best 33 points in a win at Cowley on January 18th, Hamilton would finish the game by going 15-of-16 from the field and record three double-doubles on the year, while recording a 49.5 percent field goal percentage for the year.
Leslie would be part of a one-two inside threat for Cloud County this past year, making 23 starts and appearing in all 31 games as a freshman. The Kansas City, Kansas, native would average 8.9 points and 9.5 rebounds per game and reach double-figure points in 12 different games. Leslie would be named KJCCC Player of the Week on December 3rd after recording a pair of double-doubles to open KJCCC play for the T-Birds and would finish the season with a team-best 11 double-doubles.
