Irish deal Panthers two league losses

CHAPMAN — The Chapman Irish dealt the Concordia High School volleyball team a pair of North Central Kansas League losses on Tuesday.
Concordia, now 20-11 overall and 4-3 in league play, won the first set in the first match, 25-22.
Chapman evened the match at 1-1 with a narrow 25-23 victory in the second set.
The Irish took the third and deciding set, 25-19.
Taegen Larsen had 12 kills and 13 digs for Concordia.
Terin Rundus added six kills and six digs.
Terryl Loeffler finished with five kills, four blocks and three digs.
Chloe Conway had four kills, six blocks and five digs.
Zoe Bechard had a team high 19 digs.
Kendall Reynolds had nine digs and Taylynn Peltier had eight.
Concordia downed Chapman 25-22 in the first set in the second match.
The Irish rolled to a 25-13 win the second set, and then slipped past the Panthers 27-25 in the third set.
Larsen had 12 kills, 12 digs and three blocks.
Conway had 10 kills and six digs.
Shaina Wright had six kills and Loeffler had five.
Bechard and Rundus had eight digs each, and Reynolds had seven.
The Concordia junior varsity dropped the first match to Chapman 25-11-, 25-20 and won the second match, 25-18, 25-16.
Chapman defeated the Concordia C-team 25-21, 26-24 and 27-25, 25-12.
