Lions edge Chevy's

The Lions edged Concordia Chevrolet/Buick 4-2 in Peewee Baseball play Wednesday night at the Concordia Sports Complex.

Boone Richard scored a run in the top of the first inning to give Chevrolet/Buick a 1-0 lead.

The Lions tied the game at 1-1 with a run in the bottom of the first.

Drake Blochlinger led off the inning with a double and came around to score.

Two runs in the second inning put the Lions on top to stay, 3-1.

Parker Jackson tripled and scored and Stratton Garst walked and scored.

Chevrolet/Buick closed the top to 3-2 when Deekon Holbert was hit by a pitch and scored in the top of the third inning.

Blochlinger doubled and scored in the bottom of the third to put the Lions up 4-2.

Chane Parker was the winning pitcher for the Lions. He struck out nine.

Richard did the pitching for Chevrolet/Buick. He struck out nine.

In the other game played Wednesday night, the American Legion rolled to a 20-4 victory over the Knights of Columbus.

The American Legion put up six runs in the first inning and seven in the second to get out to a 13-0 lead.

The Knights of Columbus scored one run in the bottom of the second inning.

Tacking on seven runs in the top of the third inning, the American Legion led 20-1.

The Knights of Columbus scored three runs in the bottom of the third.

Brandon Vignery pitched for the American Legion.

Ayden Krier, Cayden Williams and Braytin Hake scored three runs each for the American Legion.

Cole Britt homered in the third inning for the American Legion.
