No. 3 Coffeyville drops Cloud County

COFFEYVILLE — Defending NJCAA Division II national champion Coffeyville Community College  knocked off the Cloud County Community College volleyball team in straight sets on Wednesday.
Cloud County led third-ranked Coffeyville much of the first set.
The Thunderbirds were up 22-21.
Coffeyville scored four straight points to pull out  a 25-22 victory.
The Red Ravens went up 2-0 with a 25-19 victory in the second set.
Coffeyville won the third set 25-18 to improve to 22-2 overall and 5-0 in the Jayhawk Conference East Division..
Jessica Williams and Shelby Ohlde recorded seven kills each for Cloud County, now 11-12 overall and 1-6 in conference play.
Giovanna Fundaro finished with five kills and five digs.
Britt Michaelis had nine digs and Willow Hunt had eight.
Cammie Miller finished with 18 assists and Laken Schroeder had 15.
The T-Birds will play in a tournament hosted by Barton County Community College this weekend.
