Panthers’ Smith records top 20 finish

BELOIT — Concordia High School junior Harleigh Smith recorded a top 20 finish in the Beloit Invitational cross country meet Thursday at Beloit Country Club.
Smith turned in a time of 23:18.64 to place 19th.
Concordia freshman Moyra Barnes placed 48th in 28:03.36.
Freshman Peyton Johnson ran 28:05.32 to finish 49th for the Panthers.
Jaycee Vath, Lincoln, won the race in 19:09.64.
The Concordia boys had junior Austin Kilian placed 23rd in 18:45.81.
Freshman Alan Garcia was one spot back in 24th place for the Panthers in 19:00.18.
Caleb Eilert, Beloit-St. John's, was the individual champion with a time of 16:17.91.
