Panthers compete at Clay Center

CLAY CENTER — The Concordia High School cross country team had two boys and three girls competing in the Clay Center Invitational Thursday at the Clay Center Country Club.
Austin Kilian turned in a time of 19:44.96 to place 29th in the boys' race for Concordia.
Allen Garcia finished 46th in 21:14.64.
Ryan Heline, Smoky Valley, was the individual champion with a time of 17:01.90.
Wamego claimed the boys' team title with 37 points. Clay Center was second with 51 and Smoky Valley was third with 80.
The Concordia girls had Harleigh Smith finish 21st in 26:33.98.
Moyra Barnes ran 30:33.85 to place 38th.
Peyton Johnson was 42nd in 34:08.53
Taylor Briggs, Chapman, won the race in 19:19.12.
Smoky Valley captured the team title with 36 points. Wamego was second with 56 and Beloit was third with 59.
