With the two teams participating in a wrestling showcase at Cloud County Community College, it took a tiebreaker to determine the winner of the dual between Concordia High School and Republic County High School.
Concordia and Republic County ended the dual tied at 39-39 Thursday night in Bryant Gymnasium.
Based on the eighth criteria of the tiebreaker rules, first period takedowns, Concordia was awarded a point, and the dual victory, 40-39.
Following the dual between the Panthers and the Buffaloes, the Cloud County Community College wrestling team defeated Central Christian College in a dual.
Concordia got off to a 12-0 lead on Republic County.
Sajen Kemling pinned Jonathon Dyke in the 106-pound class.
Jordan Anguish, 113 pounds, pinned Marcel Dyke.
The Panthers then suffered three consecutive losses.
Braxton Kindel was pinned by Kaleb Talkington in the 120-pound class.
Toby Wahlmeier, 126 pounds, lost by fall to Curtis Hansen.
Cade Anderson, 132 pounds, was pinned by Gunnar Couture.
Concordia then posted five consecutive wins.
Nathan Brown received a forfeit in the 138-pound class.
Easton Hake, 145 pounds, pinned Gunnar Sheetz.
Keyan Miller pulled out a 5-4 win over Andrew Hubert in the 152-pound class.
Hunter Schroeder, 160 pounds, pinned Kamryn Ines.
Zane Reed, 170 pounds, won by forfeit.
Layton Kindel dropped a 4-3 decision to Quentin Beeson in the 182-pound class.
Robert Trost, 195 pounds, lost by fall to Duke Morgan.
Dalton Owen, 220 pounds, lost by fall to Cormik Reynolds.
