Panthers defeat Clay Center

Wrestling at home for the final time this season, the Concordia High School wrestling team defeated Clay Center 49-27 in a North Central Kansas League dual Thursday night.
The Panthers will compete in the Class 4A regional tournament, hosted by Smoky Valley, on February 15-16.
Concordia posted wins in the first four matches against Clay Center.
Sajen Kemling won a 15-1 major decision over Garrett Kalivoda in the 106-pound class.
Jordan Anguish, 113 pounds; Braxton Kindel, 120 pounds; and Toby Wahlmeier, 126 pounds, won by forfeit.
Cade Anderson was pinned by Parker Tholstrup in the 132-pound class.
The Panthers then won five straight matches.
Nathan Brown, 145 pounds, pinned Lezlie Cramer.
Keyan Miller defeated Ethan Alquist 8-1 in the 152-pound class.
Hunter Schroeder, 160 pounds, won by forfeit.
Layton Kindel pinned Shawn Liddle in the 170-pound class.
Robert Trost, 182 pounds, won by forfeit.
Zenzie Bartlett, 195 pounds, was pinned by Zach Bilinger.
Dalton Owen lost a 6-2 decision to Keegan McDonald in the 220-pound class.
Trevor Wilson, 285 pounds, lost by fall to Logan McDonald.
