Panthers Place Fourth
MARYSVLLE — Suffering a pair of losses, the Concordia seventh grade boys' basketball team finished fourth in the North Central Kansas League tournament.
Concordia was beaten 52-19 by Marysville in the semifinals on Thursday.
Marysville led the game 31-9 at halftime.
The Panthers were outscored 21-10 in the second half.
Joey Henderson scored seven points for Concordia.
The Panthers were then beaten 38-36 by Chapman in the third-place game.
Chapman had a 20-17 halftime lead.
Each team scored 11 points in the third quarter, and it was a 31-28 game.
Concordia added eight points in the final period, to seven for Chapman, to make the final margin two points.
Henderson led Concordia with 13 points.
Payton Breese added 12 points.
