Panthers post pair of league wins over Abilene

Opening North Central Kansas League play at home, the Concordia High School volleyball team posted a pair of wins over Abilene Tuesday night in the Concordia Junior-Senior High School gymnasium.
Concordia dropped the first set of the first match to Abilene, 25-22.
The Panthers won the second set 25-16 to even the match at 1-1.
Concordia rolled to a 25-10 victory in the third and deciding set.
The Panthers (9-2) opened the second match with a 25-19 victory and then pulled out a 25-22 win in the second set.
Terin Rundus racked up 16 kills, 19 digs and three blocks in the two wins for the Panthers.
Shaina Wright had 12 kills, 10 digs and three service aces.
Taegen Larsen finished with 11 kills, five blocks, four digs and three service aces.
Chloe Conway had 10 kills, nine digs and four blocks.
Kendall Reynolds had 44 assists and 15 digs in the wins.
Zoe Bechard had 37 digs.
“Overall, our energy and aggressiveness won these games tonight,” Concordia coach Alison Widen said, “Proud of the way the girls fought. We overcame a couple of deficits and pushed forward. I love watching these girls play.”
The Panthers will play in the Southeast of Saline Invitational on Saturday.
