Panthers suffer three losses in Southeast of Saline Invitational

GYPSUM — The Concordia High School volleyball team suffered three losses in pool play in the Southeast of Saline Invitational on Saturday.
Concordia, now 3-8 on the season, fell in straight sets to Smoky Valley for the second time this season, 25-16, 25-11, in the opening round of pool play.
Jara Nordell led Concordia with five kills. Terin Rundus and Chloe Conway had three kills each. Kendall Reynolds had 15 assists and six digs and Zoe Bechard had 12 digs.
Beloit downed the Panthers in two close sets, 26-24, 25-22.
Conway finished with a team high eight kills and had eight digs. Nordell added six kills. Reynolds had 19 assists and five digs and Bechard had 10 digs.
Concordia wrapped up pool play with a 25-22, 25-21 loss to Circle.
Conway had six kills and six digs. Nordell had four kills and eight digs. Carlie Carlgren also had four kills. Reynolds had 18 assists and Bechard had eight digs.
The Concordia junior varsity went 2-1 in the Smith Center Invitational on Saturday.
Concordia lost to Beloit 25-17, 25-21, defeated Smith Center 25-10, 25-22 and defeated Phillipsburg.
