Panthers sweep Beloit

BELOIT — The Concordia eighth grade volleyball team picked up a pair of wins over Beloit on Thursday.
Concordia swept Beloit in the first match, 25-18, 25-19.
Carlie Carlgren had four kills and two solo blocks in the win, as well as four straight service points in the second set.
Brecklynn Bonner had five straight service points with two service aces.
Concordia dropped the first set of the second match, 25-18.
Winning the second set 25-19, the Panthers evened the match at a set apiece.
Concordia cruised to a 15-4 victory in the third and deciding set.
Carlgren finished with five kills and three solo blocks. She also had five straight service points in the second set and seven straight with three aces in the third set.
Hattie Blackwood had 29 assists.
The Concordia B-team downed Beloit, 25-12, 25-23. Kaitlynn Nelson had six straight service points in the first set and 10 straight with five aces in the second set.
The Concordia seventh grade defeated Beloit in straight sets, 25-12, 25-11.
Taylor McDaniel had 18 straight service points in the match for Concordia.
The seventh grade B-team downed Beloit, 25-21, 25-22.
