Rundus places ninth at Marysville

MARYSVLLE — For the fourth consecutive tournament, Concordia High School senior Paul Rundus recorded a top 10 finish.
Rundus followed up a 43 on the front nine with a 42 on the back to post an 85 and place ninth in the Marysville Invitational Friday at Marysville Country Club.
Concordia, led by Rundus, finished sixth in the tournament with a score of 425.
Sabetha won the tournament with a 321. Wamego shot 336 to place second and Nemaha Central was third with a 370.
Freshman Hayden Dvorak shot an 89 for Concordia.
Senior Treyton Kindel carded a 109 and senior Austin Krier rounded out the top four with a 143.
“We were our biggest obstacle today. Sometimes your computer locks up and you have to hit CTRL-ALT-DELETE. We will reboot at league on Monday, and look to improve on our initial effort at Wamego as we head toward regionals at Hoisington,” Concordia coach Gene Rundus said.
Jesse Burger, Sabetha, was the individual medalist with a 76.
Concordia was scheduled to play in the North Central Kansas League tournament today.
