Schroeder, Anguish place for Panthers

ROSE HILL — Hunter Schroeder and Jordan Anguish recorded top four finishes for the Concordia High School wrestling team in the Rose Hill Invitational on Friday.
Schroeder won five of six matches on his way to finishing third in the 160-pound class.
Anguish placed fourth in the 113-pound class.
Concordia finished 14th as a team with 49 points.
Derby captured the team title with 212 points. Bonner Springs was second with 173.5 and McPherson was third with 156.5.
Schroeder (29-5) pinned Jake Grossner, Baldwin, in 1:43 in the opening round of the tournament.
Steven Morin, Winfield, defeated Schroeder 9-6 in the quarterfinals.
Schroeder pinned Chad  Banning, Valley Center; won a 3-1 decision over David Leck, Rose Hill; and then pinned Dalton Misener, Chanute.
Moving into the third-place match, Schroeder pinned Morin in a rematch.
Anguish (22-13) pinned Benton Flory, Baldwin, 46 seconds in the first round. He then pinned Cooper Anderson, Independence.
Brody White, Jayhawk-Linn, pinned Anguish in the semifinals.
Anguish defeated LaShawn Blick, Andover, 4-3. He lost a 5-0 decision to Braden Ledford, Winfield, in the third-place match.
Sajen Kemling (21-9) picked up two wins for Concordia in the 106-pound class.
Kemling pinned Shawn Barrager, Fort Scott, in 1:02 in the opening round. He lost by fall to Ian Demoss, Maize South, in the quarterfinals, pinned Corbin White, Jayhawk Linn, in 47 seconds and  then lost by fall to Lane Green, Baldwin.
Cade Anderson, wrestling at 132 pounds for Concordia, lost by fall to Garrett Davis, Augusta, received a bye and lost by fall to Drake Hill, Winfield.
Nathan Brown, 138 pounds, was pinned by Michael Daniels, Bonner Springs. He was beaten 7-2 by Landon Zogelman, El Dorado.
Keyan Miller, 152 pounds, was beaten 4-3 by Jadin O'Reily, Maize South, in the first round. He pinned Josh Sparks, Andover, in 1:35 and then lost a 4-0 decision to Cole Daughetee, Rose Hill.
Layton Kindel was pinned by Cade Lindsey, Derby in the 170-pound class. He won a 7-3 decision over Jon Meek, Mulvane, and then lost 7-3 to Cayman Munson, Salina Central.
Robert Trost, 182 pounds, lost by fall to Bradyn Dillow, Chanute, and then lost by fall to Zane DeLeon, Bonner Springs.
Tervor Wilson, 285 pounds, lost by fall to Ronnie Washington, Derby. He was beaten 5-3 by Kayle Harding, Chanute.
