T-Birds edge Broncbusters in OT, 2-1

GARDEN CITY — Sophomore Djougher Oliveira scored a goal two minutes into the second overtime to give Cloud County a 2-1 Jayhawk Conference West Division victory over Garden City on Wednesday.
The match was tied at 1-1 through 90 minutes of regulation play and the first 10-minute overtime.
Djougher scored his ninth goal of the season, off an assist from Jackson Brown, in the 102nd minute.
Cloud County improves to 9-4-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the Jayhawk West with the victory.
Garden City falls to 5-8 overall and 3-5 in conference play.
The Broncbusters broke a scoreless tie when Omar Estrada scored an unassisted goal in the 66th minute.
Cloud County answered just seconds later with an unassisted goal by Heitor Moreira to tie it up at 1-1.
Neither team would score over the final 24 minutes of regulation play or the 10 minutes of the first overtime.
Oliveira then scored the winning goal early in the second overtime.
The T-Birds finished with 21 shots in the match, 11 on goal.
Garden City got off just nine shots, three on goal.
Noberto Vieira was in goal for Cloud County, and had one save.
Gabriel Melo had nine saves for the Broncbusters.
Cloud County will host Barton Community College next Wednesday.
