Thunderbirds shut out Pratt, 2-0

PRATT — Bouncing back from its first conference loss of the season, the Cloud County Community College men's soccer team shut out Pratt Community College 2-0 on Wednesday.
Cloud County was coming off a 3-1 Jayhawk Conference West Division home loss to Dodge City.
The Thunderbirds got goals by sophomore's Jean-Pierre Dasylva and Djougher Oliveira in the victory over Pratt.
Dasylva's goal would come in the final 10 seconds of the first half on a shot from just outside the box.
Oliveira took a pass from Felipe D'Agostini and scored scored 13 minutes into the second half to give Cloud County a 2-0 cushion.
The T-Birds, now 4-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play, finished with 27 shots in the match to just five for Pratt, now 1-5-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the Jayhawk West.
Noberto Vieira was in goal for Cloud County, and had three saves in recording his first shutout of the season.
Cloud County will host Garden City Community College (2-4-0 overall and 1-1-0 in conference) at 4 p.m. Saturday.
