Join us for coffee and donuts. Donuts provided by Me and Ma’s Bakery. Keep up to date on all the events and activities happening in Concordia and the surrounding area. This is a great chance to discuss upcoming events, promotions, and other items of general community interest. Everyone is welcome.

North Central Kansas Medical Center is fortunate to have a number of volunteers as part of the hospital services. One organization is the NCK Medical Center Volunteers, formerly called CCHC Auxiliary. This group meets monthly to discuss ways to support the hospital. The Gift Shop in the main hallway of the hospital is staffed by these volunteers Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1-4 p.m. Janet Istas, Gift Shop manager, provides a wide variety of items for patients, visitors, and employees.
NCK Medical Center Volunteers conduct a number of fundraisers throughout the year, including a large linen sale, bake sale at Fall Fest, uniform sale, and serving meals at various events. They enjoy giving small gifts to staff in recognition of their service to our patients. Each year a scholarship is awarded to two or three students entering a healthcare field of study.
The Volunteers are hosting a Collective Goods sale March 20-21 in the lower level conference rooms of the hospital. Books and all kinds of gifts just in time for Easter, Mother’s Day, graduation, and other special days.
Anyone can join NCK Medical Center Volunteers. Meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month, and dues are just $5. Contact one of the officers: Marilyn Flesher, Shirley Moynihan, Marie Cairns and Janet Istas.
