The Concordia PEO EV Chapter had its monthly meeting on May 2 at the Wesleyan Church Life Connection Center. Hostesses were Katy Keil and Trudy Anderson.
One of our long-standing members, Shirley Moynihan, died recently. We decided to attend her Celebration of Life as a group and afterwards get together to honor her memory with “Shirley” stories.
The senior girl we had endorsed for a scholarship, Daegen DeGraff, was awarded one of PEOs International STAR Scholarships this spring. We will also be presenting two $500 local scholarships.
Our state convention will be held in Manhattan, Kan., June 6-8. One of our members, Judy Keil, will be honored at the Golden Girls Ceremony for her 50 years of membership.
The program was arranged by Barbara Shunn, president. She invited members to join her at Long Stem Gardens. Members were offered a bouquet bar where staff shared floral arranging tips.
