Community Foundation for Cloud County awards more than $40,000 to three area organizations

The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) recently awarded more than $40,000 in grants to various area organizations. The Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Cloud County, the Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund, the Impact Fund for Cloud County and the Leonard and Dorothy Swenson Fund supplied this round of grants.

Totaling $43,456, CFCC staff awarded select amounts to three Cloud County organizations. 

According to a press release from CFCC, Clyde Community Hall, Inc. received $20,000 for the Clyde Community Hall Improvement request, and similarly, the Brown Grand Opera House, Inc. received $20,000 for the Giving Voice to the Past, Illuminating the Future Project. The last $3,456 went to the Cloud County Health Department for its Crisis Pantry.

CFCC continues to award monthly grants to help fund charitable projects that benefit Cloud County. Staff accept online grant applications year-round and award various grants monthly. According to the press release, the fiscal year 2025 grant cycle will close on June 1 and reopen on July 1, with the first deadline on Aug. 1.
