Concordia Police Department Report July 28 to Aug. 4

Arrests

  • July 31, 2025, 4:46 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of East 13th Street. Officers arrested Kristin Smith on a Cloud County warrant. Smith was transported to Cloud County Corrections without incident.
  • August 2, 2025, 8:43 AM, Officers responded to Taco Grande for a report of a burglary. After a thorough investigation, the Concordia Police Department and the Cloud County Sheriff’s Department arrested Matthew Anaya of Clyde Kansas. Anaya was arrested for Burglary, Criminal damage to property and Theft. Anaya was transported to Cloud County Corrections.

Assistance

  • August 1, 2025, 10:26 AM, Officers responded to the Cloud County Court House to assist court security with an individual. The individual in question left without incident.
  • August 1, 2025, 11:16 AM, Officers conducted civil standby in 1100 block of Broadway.
  • August 3, 2025, 12:16 AM, Officers conducted a civil standby in the 500 block of East 17th street.
  • August 3, 2025, 8:50 PM, Officers conducted a civil standby in the 100 block of East 7th Street.

Child Custody

  • July 28, 2025, 5:00 PM, Officers spoke to an individual at the police department regarding child custody dispute. No report needed.
  • August 1, 2025, 5:49 PM, Officers responded to the 400 block of East 8th Street for a child custody dispute. No report is needed currently.

Criminal Damage

  • August 3, 2025, 02:14 AM, Officers responded to the 1900 block of Lincoln for a report of criminal damage to property. A vehicle drove off with the gas hose still attached to the car breaking the hose off the gas pumps. The vehicle in question was located driving in Thayer County Nebraska with the gas hose still attached to the car.

Disturbance

  • August 2, 2025, 6:29 PM, Officers responded to North Central Kansas Medical Center for a report of family members causing a disturbance. All family members were asked to leave and were told to contact the director of nursing to resolve the issues.

Domestic Disturbance

  • July 29, 2025, 7:25 PM, Officers responded to the 600 block of East 14th Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Further investigation determined only a verbal argument occurred. No report needed.
  • July 29, 2025, 2:40 PM, Officers responded to the 600 block of East 14th Street for a domestic disturbance. Upon further investigation, charges on Jasmine Eckhardt of Concordia Kansas will be forward to the Cloud County Attorney. Aggravated domestic battery, Aggravated child endangerment, Criminal damage to property, Possession of Marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and Criminal deprivation of property.

Financial

  • July 29, 2025, 8:29 AM, Officers spoke with an individual at the police department regarding possible financial crimes. The victim wished not to pursue charges at this time. No report taken.
  • Loss or Stolen
  • July 28, 2025, 9:28 PM, An individual came into the police department to report a theft. The reporting party told officers that someone stole her interlock device from her car. Investigations is ongoing. 
  • July 29, 2025, 12:33 AM, Officers responded to the 800 block of Russ Street for a report of theft. Officers are waiting for more information from the reporting party to complete a report.
  • July 30, 2025, 3:06 PM, Officers responded to Walmart for a report of a theft. Officers identified a suspect, and charges will be forward to the Cloud County Attorney’s office.

Noise Complaint

  • August 2, 2025, 3:40 AM, Officers responded to the 200 block of West 11th Street for a noise complaint. Officers contacted the homeowner and asked for the music to be turned down.

Non-Injury Accident

  • August 1, 2025, 1:35 PM, Officers responded to the 500 block of East 17th Street for a report of a non-injury accident.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

  • July 28, 2025, 8:47 AM, Officers responded to the 2200 block of College Drive for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers contacted the person in the vehicle and determined everything was okay.
  • August 2, 2025, 10:12 PM, Officers responded to Walmart for a report of a suspicious vehicle/person. Officers contacted the individual and determined he was homeless living out of his car.
