Concordia Police Report

Cited

  • On Friday, January 10, at 2:13 p.m., Animal Control officers cited Shannon Nelson, Concordia, for animal at large and animal cruelty.
  • On Saturday, January 11, at 2:57 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Ninth and Lincoln streets. Upon investigation, officers cited and released Willie Brown, Concordia, for not having a driver’s license and no proof of insurance. Gabriella Parde, Lincoln, Neb., was also cited and released, for driving while suspended, as officers viewed her driving prior to the stop.

Welfare checks

  • On Monday, January 6, at 7:40 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Matthew Street for a welfare check.
  • On Tuesday, January 7, at 12:22 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of East Seventh Street for a welfare check.
  • On Thursday, January 9, at 10:44 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of West 10th Street for a welfare check.
  • On Wednesday, January 10, at 9:35 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of East 10th Street for a welfare check.
  • On Wednesday, January 10, at 9:54 a.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Cedar Street for a welfare check.
  • On Saturday, January 11, at 12:24 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Broadway for a welfare check.

Assistance

  • On Monday, January 6, at 1:59 p.m., officers assisted another agency at the 400 block of Sixth Street.
  • On Thursday, January 9, at 4:12 p.m., officers assisted Cloud County Sheriff’s office on Highway 81, in regard to a driving complaint. Upon investigation, officers and deputies noticed the individual driving was having a medical emergency. Concordia Fire Department was called to scene. The individual was transported to North Central Kansas Medical Center.

Fire

  • On Wednesday, January 8, at 1:42 a.m., officers assisted Concordia Fire Department during a structure fire.

Disorderly conduct

  • On Tuesday, January 7, at 2:06 p.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Lincoln Street for a report of disorderly conduct. When officers arrived, the owner stated they did not want to press charges; they just wanted the individual to leave.

Theft

  • On Monday, January 6, at 2:38 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Washington Street for a report of a theft.

Non-injury accidents

  • On Monday, January 6, at 4:08 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Cedar Street for a report of a non-injury accident.
  • On Tuesday, January 7, at 8:53 a.m., officers responded to the 2000 section of Union Road for a report of a non-injury accident.
  • On Wednesday, January 8, at 3:32 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of 10th and Cedar streets for a non-injury accident.

Verbal argument

  • On Friday, January 10, at 11:13 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of East Seventh Street for a report of a verbal argument. When officers arrived, they checked all apartments but were unable to hear the argument.

From January 6 to January 13, 2025, officers assisted with 17 motor assists, due to vehicles stuck in the snow or ice.
