USD 333 board meets with KASB representative

Posted

The Concordia Unified School District 333 Board of Education met for a special meeting on April 10 at noon to meet with the Kansas Association of School Board’s representative.

Present were President Brad Berk, Vice President Mike Cleveland, and member Amber Lambertz, Nancy Owen and John Culley.

Absent were members Lindsay Metcalf and Jenny Parker.

KASB was recently selected to aid the district in its search for a new school superintendent for USD 333.

This meeting was to discuss the upcoming timeline of events and the process by which candidates will be selected.

On April 23, 2025, KASB will meet with three key focus groups from within the district.

This meeting will allow members of the district to identify characteristics, skills or experience they would like to see in a new superintendent.

These meetings will be for office staff, building administrators and certified and classified staff respectively.

A survey, on the school’s website and Facebook page, has been released for parents and other interested parties to offer their suggestions on this matter.

If you would like to fill out this survey, please go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/USD333SS.

In the evening, the board will discuss the findings of these groups and add the things they specifically would like to look for in a new superintendent.

The goal is that by approximately May 5, recommendations can be made for candidates to tour Concordia and interview for the position.

Hopefully, a selection will follow by approximately the middle of May.
