SanLoLeyte V.F.W. #7515 Auxiliary met on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at the Clyde Community Hall. Before the meeting, a potluck supper was held welcoming District #4 Auxiliary President Pat Ebersol of Herington, Kan., making his official visit and inspection, and his father, David Ebersol. The meeting opened per the ritual at 6:30 p.m.
The secretary's August 2025 minutes were approved as read.
Communications:
- General Orders #3 (listing of new resolutions passed at the National VFW and Auxiliary Convention)
- Department President's September 2025 Message—report on the SOI in Arkansas City; National Auxiliary President's visit to Kansas was Sept 19-21, and Eisenhower Vigil is Oct. 10-11.
The treasurer's August 2025 report was given and filed subject to audit. Two bills were presented, and a motion was approved to pay the bills.
Committee Reports:
- Chaplain—one get-well card sent.
- Veterans and Family—National programs listed; one member gives homemade keychains to veterans.
- Americanism - Patriotic days include POW Prayer said for POW/MIA Remembrance Day, Sept. 19; cards will be sent to Gold Star families who belong to #7515 auxiliary for Gold Star Mothers and Families Day, Sept. 28; the VFW Auxiliary was founded Sept. 14, 1914.
- Poppy and National Home—Poppies given out at Seek and Find and donations received.
- Historian and Media Relations—Articles and pictures put in area newspapers.
- Hospital—Donation given to Park Villa for bingo prizes.
- Scholarship—VOD/Patriots' Pen information will be taken to schools.
- Youth—Books to libraries and Reading Buddy projects discussed.
District #4 President Pat Ebersol reported on his inspection of our auxiliary and spoke about his year thus far and his goals.
The meeting ended per the ritual at 7:55 pm. The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Clyde Community Hall.
