Ashley Bartlett is CHS Student of the Month

One of Ashley Bartlett's favorite things to do is chase sunsets. “I live in the country, and I ask my siblings if they want to go for a drive. We get in the car and find a good place to park, and then we just sit there and watch the sunset. We just soak it all in. It's great.”

Bartlett is the Concordia High School (CHS) Student of the Month for December. The daughter of Jeff and Amanda Morgan and Thomas Bartlett, she participates in volleyball, basketball, track, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Friends of Rachel, Panther to Panther, and she is the Executive Student Council Vice President.

Her favorite sport? “Definitely track. The shot put. I'm very competitive, and I like competing on my own.”

In her spare time, Bartlett enjoys working out, dining out, fishing... and shopping. “I do love to shop. I can be in the mall for hours and not even think about it. I really love to thrift and see what I can find.”

After she finishes high school, Bartlett will attend Kansas State University, where she plans to major in communications. She is going to miss Concordia. “I really am going to miss it here. But I'm independent, and I'm excited about getting to experience life on my own.”

When Bartlett looks to the future she sees hopes and dreams, and perhaps a job interacting with people. “I would love to be a motivational speaker. I love to travel and meet new people.”

Congratulations to Ashley Bartlett, the CHS Student of the Month.
