August has been dry after a wet July

Coming off an extremely wet July, Concordia experienced a rather dry month of August.
The National Weather Service Office recording station in Concordia recorded 10.24 inches of rain in July. That is 6.32 inches above the average of 3.92 inches.
With just one day remaining in August, Concordia has received only .53 inches of rain for the month. That is 2.51 inches below the average of 3.04 inches.
Of that .53 inches received so far this month, .33 inches fell early Saturday morning.
Year to date, Concordia has received 21.16 inches of precipitation. That is .16 inches above the average of 21.00 inches.
Concordia had received 28.84 inches of precipitation through August 31 last year.
The National Weather Service Office is calling for a 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight and Tuesday morning.
Temperatures are expected to be below normal through Tuesday night, with a high of 77 on Tuesday and a low of 59 on Tuesday night.
The high on Wednesday is forecast to be around normal at 85 degrees.
