Berk files for school board

Brad Berk has become the second candidate to file for the District 3, Position 6 seat on the Concordia Unified School District 333 board of education.
Mary Beth Smith, serving her fifth term, currently holds the District 3, Position 6 seat. She has not filed for re-election.
Amber Lambertz previously filed to run for the position.
There are three seats on the school board up for election this year, including District 1, Position 4 held by John Culley and District 2, Position 5 that Nancy Owen was appointed to during the board meeting on Monday night.
The filing deadline for running for office is June 1. If a primary election is needed it will be on August 3. The general election will be November 2.
