Brown Grand selling seats to raise money

In an effort to raise funds for the “Seating the Next Generation” campaign, the Brown Grand Theatre will be selling rows of the current 94-year-old seats.
The seats will be sold for $100 per row. The rows have between two and 13 seats each.
The “Seating the Next Generation” campaign to install 467 new seats in the theatre was launched in September 2019 and is currently at 93 percent of the way to reaching the fundraising goal.
“We hope you will join us in our vision to embrace a 21st century performance experience while preserving the historic theatre atmosphere,” a release from the Brown Grand Theatre stated.
To purchase the old seats, or to make a donation to the project, contact Jason Grogan, executive director, at 785-243-2553 or by email at director@browngrand.org.
Donations can be mailed to the Brown Grand Theatre, 310 West Sixth St., Concordia, Kan. 66901. To make a secure donation through the new Go Fund Me page online visit gf.em/u/x5n987.
