CCCC Foundation cancels annual auction

With the continued uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cloud County Community College Foundation has announced that its annual Scholarship Auction has been canceled.
The auction was originally scheduled for April 25 and then postponed before being canceled.
“While it is a difficult decision, the health and safety of our attendees, staff, volunteers and students are of the utmost importance to us. Although we will not be able to gather this year, the Foundation plans to organize fundraisers throughout the coming months to make up the deficit from the event,” Heather Gennette, Foundation director, said. “Thankfully, the Foundation has its endowment and will continue to provide scholarships to Cloud students without having to make significant cuts.”
The annual auction raises more than $60,000 for student scholarships. In the last 39 years, the event has raised more than $1 million.
