CCCC Scholarship Auction raises more than $80,000

The 39th annual Cloud County Community College Foundation Scholarship Auction set a single-year record by raising over $80,000.
With a theme of “The Big Show”, the event also drew a record crowd.
Those attending were able to bid on silent and live auction items to raise money for the Foundation's scholarship fund.
All funds raised go directly to the general scholarship fund, making Cloud County an option for many students who otherwise may not be able to attend college.
“The 39th annual auction was a huge success, thanks to the generous donors and attendees,” Foundation director Heather Gennette said, “The auction only happens with the help of a great team of volunteers and amazing staff. The dedication and time these individuals put toward the event is simply incredible. I think everyone who attended was able to see the impact the Foundation and fundraisers like this have on our students. I couldn't have asked for a more successful evening.”
In the last 39 years, the annual auction has raised more than $1 million for student scholarships.
Also during the auction, ITC Great Plains made a $2,500 donation to the college's renewable energy department. It is the seventh year ITC has given a scholarship donation to the program.
