CHS celebrating Homecoming

Concordia High School will be celebrating Homecoming when the football team hosts Russell at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Homecoming queen and king will be crowned at about 6:30 p.m. Friday at Harold M. Clark Stadium.
Homecoming queen candidates are Bethany Craig, Madelyn Meyer, Katlynn Miller, Allison Poore and Delaney Trost.
King candidates are Alex Bonebrake, Beau Bonebrake, Corben Monzon, Paul Rundus and Elijah Steffen.
Activities are planned throughout the week.
Homecoming theme days include Go Greek Day on Monday, Surfers v. Bikers Day on Tuesday, Meme Day on Wednesday, 80s Disco Day on Thursday and Panther Spirit Day on Friday.
A pep rally is scheduled for 9 p.m. Thursday at the Broadway Plaza. There will be presentations of all of the fall sports teams and performances by the high school band, dance team and cheerleaders.
Community members are invited to attend.
The Parade to the Plaza is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday. All students in Unified School District 333 will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
The parade, which will include the high school band, class trailers, dancers, cheerleaders and fall sports teams, will travel down Sixth Street to the Broadway Plaza.
The Homecoming assembly is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at the Broadway Plaza. The queen and king candidates will be introduced and videos, produced by Cat Scratch Productions, will be shown.
Community members are invited to attend the assembly and encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for seating.
In the case of inclement weather, the assembly will take place in the high school auditorium.
The Homecoming dance is scheduled for 10 p.m.-12 a.m. Friday in the high school gymnasium. Students must register an outside guest with the high school office by Thursday.
Outside guests must show photo identification.
Wing Productions will provide the music for the dance.
