City fireworks display will have added pop

For a second straight year Dano's Fireworks, LLC, owned by Dan Haist, will be putting on the Concordia fireworks display on July 3 at the Cloud County Fairgrounds.
As part of the city of Concordia's 150th anniversary celebration the display will have a little added pop this year.
“It will be bigger this year,” Haist said.
The 2020 city fireworks display included fireworks with a 1.4G classification. This year the display will include those with 1.4G, 1.4 Pro and 1.3 classifications.
The 1.4 Pro is designed for use by a professional. The 1.3G are display fireworks.
Members of the Concordia Fire Department will once again be lighting off the fireworks, and the display is expected to last around 30 minutes.
Fundraising is currently underway to cover the cost of the fireworks display.
The cost of fireworks has increased from last year because of limited availability.
Haist has already secured the product for the display.
Donations can be dropped off at the Concordia Chamber of Commerce office, 207 West Sixth St. or Alliance Insurance, 1409 Lincoln St.
Checks should be made out to the City Fireworks Display.
Volunteers are also being sought to help clean up the area the morning of July 4.
