Cloud County has eighth confirmed case of COVID-19

An eighth positive case of COVID-19 in Cloud County was confirmed by the Cloud County Health Department on Monday.
According to an announcement by the Health Department, a person who had been out of state tested positive for the virus after being home for one day.
After being out of state for one week, the person returned to Kansas over the weekend and began developing symptoms the next day. Out of state contacts were also developing symptoms of COVID-19.
A sixth case of COVID-19 was reported last Wednesday and the seventh case was confirmed on Thursday.
Health Department administrator Brandi Bray has reported that the sixth and seventh cases were related.
Isolation and quarantine orders have been served to case positives and close contacts.
The individuals who were the first five confirmed cases have recovered.
