Cloud County reports 33 new cases of COVID-19

The surging number of COVID-19 cases in Cloud County has reached worrisome levels.
Today the Kansas Department of Health & Environment (KDHE)reported that 1,696 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Cloud County since the outbreak began.
That is an increase of 33 new cases in the last two days and 76 cases in the past week.
There were 259 cases of COVID-19 reported in Cloud County in the month of November, and two deaths attributed to the virus.
Cloud County has recorded 1,696 cases of COVID-19 amid a population base of approximately 8,914 residents. Pratt County, with a population of approximately 8,827 residents, has recorded 1,377 cases.
The Mayo Clinic tracking map of COVID-19 cases in Kansas ranks Cloud County as the 15th-highest per-capita case rate in the state. Kansas has a total of 105 counties.
According to USAfacts.com, Cloud County is averaging 8.7 cases per day over the past two weeks. 42.8% of Cloud County residents are fully vaccinated, below the state average of 54%, and far below the national average of 59.4%.
