Concordia High School to celebrate Homecoming

Activities are planned throughout the week as Concordia High School celebrates Homecoming.
The Homecoming queen and king will be crowned at 6:30 p.m. Friday, prior to the start of the Concordia football game against Beloit.
The  Homecoming queen candidates are Juana Ayala, Ashley Bartlett, Tessa Christensen, Maddie Schlyer and McKenzie Widen.  
The king candidates are Keyan Miller, Aidan Poore, Cav Carlgren, Dalton Owen and Taye Retter.
A pep rally is scheduled for 9 p.m. Thursday at the Broadway Plaza. Parents and community members are invited to attend.
The pep rally will include performances by the Concordia High School band, dance team and cheerleaders, as well as the presentation of the 2021 fall sports teams.
The Homecoming "Parade to the Plaza" is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday.  The parade will begin at Concordia High School, travel down Sixth Street, and end at the Broadway Plaza.
Following the parade will be the Homecoming assembly that will include the introduction and information about Homecoming candidates, including candidate videos produced by Cat Scratch Productions.
In the event of inclement weather, the assembly will be in the Concordia High School auditorium.  Parents and community members are invited to attend. Everyone is encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating.
Concordia Unified School District 333 will have a district-wide early dismissal at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, so that everyone may attend the Homecoming parade and assembly.
Homecoming week will include theme days for students.
The theme days are:
Monday - Dress As Your Teacher Day
Tuesday - Twin Day
Wednesday - Space/Galaxy Day
Thursday - Decades Day (Seniors - 2000s; Juniors - 90s; Sophomores - 80s; Freshman - 70s)
Friday - Panther Spirit Day.
