Grant supports library at USD 333 Daycare Home

A grant from the Dane Hansen Northwest Kansas Reads Initiative has provided the children in the Unified School District 333 Group Daycare Home with a library of new books to read with their caregivers.
The Dane Hansen Foundation book grant supports early literacy and future success in reading.
Research shows that being read to daily provides stimulation for increased brain development, which contributes to later academic success and lifetime well-being.
We want to thank the Dane Hansen Foundation for support of our early learners,” Kimberly Muff, director of the Concordia USD 333 Education Fund, said. “Kids can now cozy up with our Daycare Home providers to read colorful new books and our Daycare Home families will have access to check out books from the new early childhood library.”
The Concordia USD 333 Education Fund, established in October, embraces the school district's belief that “education is not an outcome, but a process.”
USD 333 staff will continue to seek partnerships that offer the students educational resources and opportunities through grants, gifts and contributions to the Concordia USD 333 Education Fund.
The Concordia USD 333 Education Fund is held at the Community Foundation for Cloud County, a 501(c)(3) organization. All gifts to the fund are tax deductible.
