NCKMC welcomes new rheumatologist

The North Central Kansas Medical Center welcomes a new rheumatologist, Dr. Damandeep Walia, M.D.
Dr Walia is taking the place of Dr. James Anderson in the new North Central Kansas Medical Center that is scheduled to open on November 16.
After completing his fellowship in allergy, clinical immunology and rheumatology at the Kansas University Medical Center in June of 2007, Dr. Walia began his career as a staff rheumatologist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo., and has also been the chief rheumatologist/allergist there.
Dr. Walia is also an assistant professor of the division of allergy, clinical immunology and rheumatology for the University of Kansas Medical Center.
“As a growing facility, we are excited to be able to continue providing rheumatology services as we begin our new adventure at North Central Kansas Medical Center,” Curtis Walter, senior director of clinical operations, said.
