Reading with Friends to feature “Sulwe”

“Sulwe,” written by Academy Award winning actress Lupita Nyong and illustrated by Vashti Harrison, will be featured during Reading with Friends on April 9 at Neighbor to Neighbor.
Reading with Friends will be both an in-person and Facebook Live event starting at 10 a.m.
The beautifully illustrated took tells a story about a young girl who has darker skin than all of her friends that will inspire all children to see their own unique beauty.
The guest reader for the event will be Sister Dian Hall.
Pre-registration is required to attend the in-person event at Neighbor to Neighbor and to pick up a free copy of the book in advance. Masks will be required for those attending in person.

The video of the event will be available at no charge on the Neighbor to Neighbor Facebook page www.facebook.com/N2NConcordia.
The video will stay on the Facebook page after the reading for people to view at a later date.
The first 25 children to preregister will be able to pick up a copy of the book whether the child is attending in person or online. It is limited to one per family.
Reading with Friends is for children ages 3-5. It is on the second Friday of each month.
