Resource Center to reopen its offices

The Cloud County Resource Center will reopen its offices to the public beginning Monday.
All visitors will be required to wear a mask to gain access. There will be masks available for anyone who doesn't have one.
The Resource Center will also resume the Monday, Wednesday and Friday hours of 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Hours for the Food Bank will remain 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Individuals wanting to get supplies from the Food Bank will still need to make an appointment to do so. Walk-ins are unlikely to be able to access the Food Bank immediately.
If an appointment is needed, individuals are encouraged to call ahead at 785-243-1065 to secure an appointment time and to have their eligibility checked.
There will continue to be a limit to the number of people allowed in the building of 25 total and 15 in the waiting room.
“We will not be resuming our walk through food bank system from the time before COVID-19,” Resource Center director Tonya Merrill said, “Food will still be gathered and available for pickup at the doors. It is still too difficult to socially distance in the limited space of our pantry and we want to protect the volunteers we still have.”
