Thunder Strikez destroyed by fire

Thunder Strikez Bowling Alley, 1909 Lincoln St., was completed destroyed by a fire Sunday morning.
The Concordia Fire Department got the call about the fire at 2:50 a.m., and the first truck arrived on scene at 2:56.
There were flames coming from the east side of the building when firefighters arrived.
With strong winds making it difficult to get water on the fire, it was attacked as a defensive situation.
The roof on the building collapsed.

As of Tuesday morning, the fire was still smoldering.
Voss said it is contained to the walls of the building, and the Fire Department is monitoring the situation.
The public is asked to stay away from the scene.
Responding to the fire along with the Concordia Fire Department were the Clyde Fire & EMS, Rural Fire District #4, Rural Fire District #1, the Concordia Police Department and the Cloud County Sheriff's Office.
Voss said the first responders appreciate the support, food and drinks that were provided to those battling the blaze.
