Trinity United donates $100,000 for new hospital

Members of the Trinity United Methodist Church have presented the Cloud County Foundation for Health Care a donation of $100,000 to help with the construction of the new $40.35 million hospital to be constructed by Cloud County Health Center on College Drive.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new hospital is scheduled for March 1. Completion of the project is expected in 2022.
Trinity United Methodist Church members Mark and Dorothy Morgan, Marilyn Flesher, Matt and Deb Lauer, Norman and Sherry Johnson, Lois Johnston, Jeannie Wilson and Rev. Melanie Adams presented the check to the hospital project.
“The church is very pleased to provide these funds to assist the building project that will provide continuing health care to the community,” Dorothy Morgan said. “I believe the Fortneys would be very happy to see the church make this donation for a new hospital.”
Trinity United Methodist Church provided the funds for the project through the Fortney estate.
“This donation, along with those from past donors, is a great testament to the willingness of our community to support our local hospital and healthcare family,” Brandt Hutchinson, president of the Foundation for Health Care, said.
