Pounds served four terms on the board of education.
Bombardier served one four-year term. He was the board president for two years.
Mike Cleveland joined the board of education. He was appointed to fill the Position 3, Sub-District 3 seat that was left vacant following the resignation of Tony Miller.
Cleveland was elected to the Position 3, Sub-District 3 seat in the November general election and will begin that four-year term in January.
Also elected to the board in November were Amber Lambertz, member at-large, and Lindsay Metcalf, District 1, Position 1. They will also begin their terms in January.
In action taken during the meeting, the board approved early graduation requests for Joshua Bray and Riley Westgate.
A request to establish a Key Club student organization in the district was approved. Alexis Koops will serve as the Key Club sponsor.
The Key Club is a student-led organization for students to provide service, build character and develop leadership.
Members of the Key Club will be involved in several service projects in the community.
Also approved during the meeting were the Learning Cooperative of North Central Kansas Parents as Teachers staff handbook and the Kansas Association of School board's policy updates for December.
Included in the classified staff changes approved by the board was the hiring of Shana Stokes as administrative assistant at the district office. She will replace Tracey Holmes, who is retiring, effective July 1, 2024.
The other hirings approved were Keaton  Snavely as the head junior high school girls' wrestling coach, Shannon Abram as the assistant junior high girls' wrestling coach and Brock Hartshorn as the junior high school boys' assistant wrestling coach.
The board tabled action on the administrative contracts.
Also tabled by the board was the 2025-2026 district calendar.
The board votes to set the start and end dates for each academic year.
Superintendent of schools Quentin Breese informed the board members that he likes to get approval on the calendar two years in advance to allow families to plan.
Board member Brad Berk asked if starting school a week later and doing away with fall break would be   an option.
Breese said that it would need to be negotiated with the teachers.
It was decided by the board to table action on the calendar until the January meeting.
During the information portion of the meeting, the board was updated on the roofs at the Concordia Junior-Senior High School by director of operations and technology director Kelly Struebing.
"We were able to take care, at the high school, roughly, maybe three-quarters of our roofs," Struebing said.
Struebing said that there are still some pretty significant leaks in some areas.
The district is receiving bids for different options to repair the sections of the roof that are leaking. They include a full replacement and a couple of spray coatings, one that is a 20-year roof and one that is a 7-10-year roof.
Struebing said that the administration will present the prices for the different options to the board at a later date.
Breese informed the board, during the facilities update, that there is an issue with the chairlift that serves the stairway off of the varsity gymnasium.
The board met in an executive session for 10 minutes with Breese for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel.
