USD 333 to host town hall

Unified School District 333 will host a second town hall meeting, to present information and receive input on proposed facilities improvements, on June 16 from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the Concordia High School junior varsity gymnasium.
Representatives from USD 333, HTK Architects, McCownGordon Construction and the community engagement team will provide information on a 30-year, $48.3 million bond proposal to upgrade facilities within the district.
The facilities plan, which was recommended by the community engagement team, includes renovations and new additions at the current Concordia Junior-Senior High School building, removing the middle school portion of the building and constructing a new addition that would include kitchen services and student commons and the renovation of the 1956 gymnasium.
Also being discussed is remodeling the existing USD 333 Service Center (former middle school) and moving fifth and sixth grade students into the building.
A short overview of the designs and configurations of the plan will be presented during the meeting. There will also be an opportunity for dialogue on finance and the building concepts.
