USD 333 to host town hall on facilities plan

Patrons of Concordia Unified School District 333 will have an opportunity to ask questions about a possible $48.3 million bond issue to upgrade facilities during a town hall meeting scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Concordia High School junior varsity gymnasium.
Representatives from USD 333, HTK Architects and McCownGordon Construction will be available during the town hall to provide information about the project.
There will be a short overview of the designs and configurations that the facility planning commission and board of education have explored over the past 36 months as well as breakout tables for dialogue in the areas of finance, high school concept and middle school concept.
During its regular meeting on May 10, the USD 333 board of education was presented information by HTK Architects, McCownGordon Construction and members of the community engagement committee on a facilities plan that includes renovations and new additions and the current Concordia Junior-Senior High School building.
Also being discussed is a plan to remodel the existing USD 333 Service Center (former Middle School) and move the fifth and sixth grades into the building.
