USD 333 reports virus case; county has 10 cases in two days

The Concordia Junior-Senior High School was informed by the Cloud County Health Department on Thursday of a confirmed case of COVID-19.
To help prevent further spread of the virus, several members of the Unified School District 333 student body have been placed in quarantine.
Individuals with close contact have already been notified.
The Health Department will provide additional information to those families.
Students in quarantine will continue their education as a remote learner.
USD 333, in cooperation with the Health Department, has suspended all Concordia High School volleyball events until October 19.
As of now, the volleyball team will be allowed to resume practicing on October 19 prior to the Class 4A sub-state tournament in Clay Center.
The volleyball team will be unable to participate in the triangular in Russell tonight. It also will not play the two North Central Kansas League matches in Wamego on Tuesday or compete in the Sabetha Invitational on October 17.
Two new positive COVID-19 cases were reported in Cloud County on Friday, after there were eight new confirmed cases on Thursday.
There was also one COVID-19 related hospitalization reported.
Cloud County now has had 87 total cases of COVID-19. There have been 13 new cases reported since October 1.
No further information about the patients will be released.
