F&A Food Sales falls to Ellis in K-18 state title game

LUCAS — Concordia F&A Food Sales tumbled 14-11 to Ellis in the championship game of the 68th Annual K-18 Baseball State Tournament Wednesday night.
The game, that was delayed by weather, was tied at 9-9 after seven innings of play.
Ellis scored five runs in the top of the eighth inning to go up 14-9.
F&A Food Sales put up two runs in the bottom of the eighth.
Goodland shut out Republic County 8-0 in the third-place game Wednesday night.
F&A Food Sales opened the tournament with a 8-0 win over WaKeeney, and then blanked Republic County 12-0 in the semifinals.
Ellis downed Beloit Red 9-3 in the first round and got past Goodland 8-7 in the semifinals.
