CCHC issues a “No Visitor Policy”

Cloud County Health Center, in an effort to be proactive and stay ahead of the curve during the COVID-19 pandemic, has issued a “No Visitor Policy” effective immediately.
According to the Center for Disease Control the COVID-19 pandemic is an evolving situation in every community across our country.
The Cloud County Health Department has been notified of additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Cloud County.
While the no visitor policy may be very difficult for Cloud County Health Center (CCHC) patients and their families, the administration is confident that it is the right thing to do for the safety of the staff, patients and community.
Restrictions and exemptions of the policy include:
• One caregiver for patients under 18-years-old allowed (must stay in the room the entire time).
• One companion for patients with disabilities or impairments needing assistance allowed (must stay in room entire time).
• All other non-COVID-19 patients, no visitors allowed.
• Comfort care exceptions will be made for patients nearing end of life on a case by case basis.
• No visitor restrictions apply to all inpatient and outpatient, dialysis and Family Care Center services.
Everyone entering the hospital will continue to use the main entrance and will continue to be screened according to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment guidelines currently in place.
CCHC employees will continue to be diligent with self-screening in order to protect themselves, their peers, family, loved ones and community.
Healthcare services through the Family Care Center will continue by appointment.
The Walk-in Clinic hours have been changed to 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Please call ahead to 243-4272 to inform them that you are coming.
