Panthers open season with 41-7 victory

The Concordia eighth grade girls' basketball team opened its season with a 41-7 home victory over Fort Riley Middle School on Thursday.
Concordia jumped out to a 15-1 lead in the first quarter.
The Panthers pumped in 13 points in the second quarter, and limited Fort Riley to three points, to go up 28-3 at halftime.
Concordia outscored Fort Riley 5-2 in the third period, and led 33-5.
The Panthers added eight points in the final stanza to two for Fort Riley.
Taylor McDaniel led the way for Concordia with 28 points.
KcAnna Keiswetter added eight points for the Panthers.
