Huggans receives ENP certification

Shawna Huggans, APRN-C with the Family Care Center, is now certified as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP-C).
Huggans, who is also a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, earned the ENP certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners certification board.
An ENP is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse who treats patients of all ages in emergency departments in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Board certified nurse practitioners have chosen to demonstrate a commitment to the high standards required to take the certification exam.
The ENP certification reflects a commitment to provide the highest quality care to the patients and the community.
Huggans, who earned a master of science in nursing – family nurse practitioner, from Fort Hays State University in 2015, has been working at the Family Care Center since January 2016.
