Blake Alderson, age 36, passed away at his home in Huntington Beach, Calif. on Saturday. He was born January 11, 1982.
He graduated from Concordia High School in 2000 and earned his private pilot's license at the age of 16. He attended Kansas State University-Salina in the flight program. He was in the Air National Guard based at McConnell Air Force Base from 2001-03.
He graduated from boot camp at Lackland Air Force in San Antonio, Texas in August, 2001. He graduated technical training at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss. for command post controller.
He loved family, friends, airplanes and fishing. He had a kind, gentle, loving heart. He was home recently. We will cherish the memories.
He is survived by his parents, Blair and Kim, Concordia; a brother, Ryan, Concordia; grandfather, Ray Harper, Concordia; grandmother, Madeline Alderson, Clyde; aunts, uncles and cousins; and girlfriend, Kacey Kishiyoma, Torrance, Calif.
He is preceded in death by grandmother, Monte Rae Harper; grandfather, Don Alderson; and uncle, Joel Alderson.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, October 27 at 2 p.m. at Valley Rental Center, 803 Valley St.
